Know Before You Go

Registration

Dates/Hours: 

  • Sunday, May 3 | 8am – 7pm
  • Monday, May 4 | 7am – 5pm
  • Tuesday, May 5 | 7am – 12pm
  • Wednesday, May 6 | 7:30am – 12pm

Make registration a breeze and verify your badge ahead of time.  Locate the chiclet “Verify My Badge” on the second screen of the app.  Once there, you can review the information that will be printed and have an opportunity to edit and confirm.

Mobile App

We encourage you to engage with the app platform ahead of the conference to familiarize yourself as this will be the main tool used to communicate information during the conference.

Please look for the emails with the subject line, "Event App for 2026 Annual Conference is Open!" sent on 4/23 and again on 4/27 with your login credentials, specific to this app. 

Please reach out to [email protected] if you have trouble locating the event app emails - although you may want to check your spam folders. Please note that this platform is NOT connected to any other WACUBO accounts; as such, those usernames and passwords will not work for the app.

  • On your Mobile Device: Go to your respective app store and search for “Etherio Connect App” and download.  Once in the Etherio app, enter WACUBO 2026 Annual Conference. You will need to the login credentials provided in the "Event app" emails. IF YOU DOWNLOADED THE APP IN 2025, PLEASE DELETE THE APP PRIOR TO RE-INSTALLING.  THIS WILL ALLOW YOU TO SEARCH FOR THE 2026 VERSION.
  • On your Desktop: Click HERE to be re-directed to the app. You will need to the login credentials provided in the "Welcome" email.

Location

The majority of conference activities for attendees will be held at:

Red Rock Resort
11011 W Charleston Boulevard
Las Vegas, NV 89135 

Exceptions include the golf tournament on Sunday (transportation provided to/from conference hotel), the Opening Reception at the Mob Museum (transportation provided to/from conference hotel), the Aviators Baseball game, and private functions not coordinated by WACUBO.  If you are invited to a private function, kindly make sure you have those details as WACUBO does not keep a list of these events.

For attendees staying onsite, please note that the Red Rock Resort guests' rooms DO NOT have the following:

  • In-room coffee makers
  • In-room refrigerator

Transportation

It is recommended that you make your transportation arrangements ahead of time.  No offsite lodging transportation is provided. 

Parking

Free parking is provided to all resort guests and attendees coming from other locations. Upon arrival, head to east valet or the east parking garage for parking.

Internet Access

If you are staying onsite, the hotel provides WiFi in your guest room as part of your reservation.  We also have a designated network in the conference area, sponsored by PPA.

Opening Event Reception | Mob Museum

  • Transportation provided from the Red Rock Hotel. BUSES LEAVE FROM RED ROCK RESORT @ 6:30pm.  Return transportation will be running throughout the evening, with the last bus leaving at 10 pm

This family-friendly event is at the Las Vegas Ballpark (Ballpark), just a short walk across the street from the conference hotel. We have reserved an upper deck party areas for our group to enjoy the game and do some networking! Printed tickets will be handed out onsite.
Bag Policy | Bags meeting the following requirements will be allowed:
  •  Soft-sided
  • No larger than 16”x16”x8”
  • In the event a bag must be searched, personnel will ask the fan/attendee to remove items so the inside of the bag can be inspected.

Attire

 Las Vegas is warm and sunny this time of year.  We encourage conference attendees, including speakers, to dress for the location. That means short-sleeved collared shirts and blouses, comfortable non-wool slacks/chinos or skirts/dresses, and comfortable business-casual shoes for walking. Meeting rooms may be cooler with air conditioning, so a sweater or light jacket may be needed. Hats and sunscreen are encouraged for any outdoor activities.

Weather

May is a very pleasant time to visit Las Vegas, when there is loads of sunshine and the temperatures are warm. Throughout the month, the average temperature is 77°F (made up of highs of 88°F and lows of 61°F).

CPEs

CPE credit information is included in the session information. The NASBA Field of Study are provided under Types; credit hours under Level in the agenda.  Make sure you check-in and check-out of your session to obtain credit.  Please review the CPE information webpage for additional information.

Career Coaching

All onsite career coaching sessions are filled.  There are sessions available before and after the conference via Zoom.

Every year, WACUBO participates in a Service Project in connection with the Annual Conference. This year, we ask that you help us support Public Education Foundation's (PEF) Classroom in a Box,

The Classroom in a Box, offered by the PEF Teacher Superstore, provides a semester’s worth of school supplies for $215 so an entire elementary school classroom of students and teachers have access to the supplies they need for learning at school and at home. PEF Teacher Superstore provides free and low-cost school supplies for teachers to distribute so more than 50,000 students each year can participate in the classroom and do their homework.
